Online Picture Backup

,
Today, many people have a ton of digital files, most of them being pictures on their computer, yet, very few of them have a backup. If the thought of having a backup scares you, don't let it. It is not anything that needs to be difficult or complicated. Although it is going to require some setup before you get started, once you do you'll be protected in the best way possible, variation and automation.

Many of you already are aware of different methods of backup. Some of you probably thinking a hard drive or a pen drive will the files you really want to keep is a safe method. It can be, but for it to, your information still needs to remain on the computer and on the second drive. In addition to this, one of the drives needs to be in a different location, like a safety deposit box, or a friends house. Why? In case of a flood, or fire, you lose everything even if you have 20 drives in your house all backed up properly. So it's important to remember the key is not only redundancy but also location. To do this properly, it becomes a bit of a pain when you take pictures weekly or more often. Do you really want to run to a friends, pick up the drive, come home, backup it up, then, finally bring the drive back to your friends. I didn't, and that's why I needed something else and choose an online backup method as my alternative.

There are a bunch of different backup methods. Some being an FTP backup, which with software is equally good, or a pen drive backup. The problem with these listed is most people forget to keep their pen drive in a second location. In the event of a fire or flood, your information is lost. The FTP method, although a really good one, requires a little bit more work seems to be a little bit more difficult to setup overall. Although a great method, the online backup seems to be the simplest, easiest and therefore the most complete backup I could find for anyone to use.
